Our aim is to preserve our own queer oral history for future generations.

Support the Van Dykes Project and own a piece of queer history.

The Van Dykes project is inspired by the caravan of lesbians that travelled the US and Mexico during the 1970s - seeing a life of “radical rebellion and feminist empowerment”.  We expand the conversation to a more inclusive movement that explores not only lesbians, but transgender and gender non-conforming people, as well as queer elders with a focus on QTPOC narratives which are often erased from early waves of feminism.
